AUDIO – 071712 – Lake Placid Fire Department gets new Generator

Lake Placid’s Village Board Approves Minutes from previous meetings with a few minor changes.

Zay Curtis tells the board he’s spoken with several people in the industry and most estimate the additional cost of a new generator, and the installation of the automatic switch gear to be in the neighborhood of $33,000.00 over and above the cost of the new shed.  Curtis says the additional costs of a new generator will come out of the general fund balance and right now it appears that the board could review generator proposals in a matter of weeks…..

Any new generator will also be placed on it’s own pad, exclusive of the new shed building.. Installation could begin as early as the fall.
