At about 2:30pm today an employee of the Walgreens Drug store located at 301 Cornelia St, Plattsburgh, NY called police to report the pharmacy being robbed.
There were 7 store employees and a handful of patrons in the store when the robber came in. The robber, a white man in his late 20’s, early 30’s approximately 6’00, thin build, goatee wearing a light colored hoodie and black hat walked up to the pharmacy counter, presented a note demanding drugs and threatening a knife although a knife was not displayed.
The employee complied and the robber left the store with a significant quantity of oxycodone having an estimated street value of $30,000. Oxycodone is a highly addictive synthetic opioid prescribed to relieve moderate to severe pain.
The robber fled out the front door and was last seen headed in a westerly direction on foot. There were no injuries.
City police along with NYS Police, Clinton County Sherriff Deputies, University Police, US Border Patrol and Homeland Security conducted a ground search assisted by a police K9 and helicopters.

The robber is considered armed and dangerous and anyone with information is requested to contact Plattsburgh City police at (518) 563-3411.
