School District Voting Today
Budget Votes and School Board Elections are today. Saranac Lake 7am-8pm. Tupper Lake 12n-8pm. Lake Placid 2pm-9pm. Tupper’s School Board needs approval from 60% of voters for their budget to pass because the budget exceeds the tax cap.

Budget Votes and School Board Elections are May 21st. Polls are open from 7am to 8pm in Saranac Lake, from 2pm until 9pm in Lake Placid, and Noon until 8pm in Tupper Lake, where a 60% majority will be necessary for the budget to pass.

We’ll find out Saturday, May 25th during a special event at the Berkley Green in Saranac Lake.. HIkers will begin Saturday at 8am, registration begins at 7am. Later in the day Saranac Lake’s Mayor Clyde Rabideau and others will await the arrival of the first to hike all six peaks in order to become a Saranac Lake 6er.

ALBANY, NY (07/13/2012)(readMedia)– Members of the New York Association for Pupil Transportation are in Saratoga Springs for a series of events related to ensuring the safety of school children who ride yellow school buses in New York.. Another goal… increasing the efficiency and accountability of school transportation in the state. More than 225 school transportation supervisors and managers are expected to participate in workshops related to bullying and the Dignity Act, key performance indicators in school transportation, transportation of homeless students, and regional transportation strategies..
Today’s agenda includes some 80 manufacturers, service providers and equipment providers in the school transportation industry will present their wares and services through the day. The New York School Transportation Conference is one of the nation’s largest conference and trade show events
