All of the Summit Lacrosse Contests were moved ahead by an hour yesterday due to the inclement weather..  Last years winner in the Mens Open Division 1 Bracket, Burning Orange went down in the semi final match to Select Sector SPDRS 11 to 9 and Sunday’s Final pitted Sector against Power Tek a good matchup on the rainy final day of Lacrosse inLake Placid… Power Tek wins 12 to 6 and takes the division…  On the womens side,GraphTexand Twisted Sister went into the final game a little earlier than originally planned Sunday Morning.GraphTexcame into this year’s event undefeated as last year’s champions.. The weekend provided some extreme weather conditions and while Saturday was a scorcher, Sunday gave the advantage to Graph-Tex, winning their division final 10 to 4..


The Fall Sports Parent/Athlete meeting will take place on Monday August 6th 6:30pm in the High School Auditorium.  All Modified, JV and Varsity athletes need to attend.  The paperwork needed to participate will be available at this time. The general meeting will be followed by team meetings. Football gets underway on August 13th, and then on Wednesday that week, Soccer, Volleyball and Cross Country..  Modified sports kick off the 23rd for Soccer and the 27th for Football, Cross Country and Volleyball…


 Round One of the Team and individual Equestrian Show Jumping competition wasn’t the best day for the United States Equestrian Team..  Beezie Madden, Reed Kessler, and Ward McClain are veterans of the Lake Placid Horse Shows and if they hadn’t been in Europe preparing for this year’s Olympics, they would have been here in Lake Placid.. And Rich Fellers, riding his horse called FLEXIBLE, moves on to today’s rounds in the individual competition..  The 52 year old from Coos Bay is the 2012 Individual Jumping World Cup champion, and the 2012 North American Champion – he heads into today’s qualifying rounds with no faults – and a chance to bring home the gold for the USA..
