STATE CANCER PLAN OPEN FOR PUBLIC COMMENT
— The New York State Cancer Consortium posts the 2012-2016 New York State Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan for public comment. The Plan will be available for comment until 11:59pm on September 16.
To comment on the New York State Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan:

· The Public Comment period will be from 8:00am on Monday, August 27 to 11:59pm on September 16.
The New York State Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan serves as a framework for individuals and professionals as they engage in actions and initiatives to ease the burden of cancer in their local communities and across New York State. The Plan is designed for multiple uses and audiences and addresses all aspects of the cancer care continuum. It includes information, data and recommendations addressing six priority areas based on current, available evidence. Priority areas include: Health Promotion and Prevention, Early Detection, Treatment, Survivorship, Palliative Care and Healthcare Workforce.
The New York State Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan was created by the New York State Cancer Consortium. The work contained within the Plan is the result of a collaboration of members from more than 100 organizations across New York State. To ensure that the Plan is representative of New York State, the public is encouraged to view and comment on this draft.
