Going Solar – On the K&J Show

Wayne Davison owns Northern Solar, which he and his partner operate out of Tupper Lake, NY. During a recent Village of Saranac Lake Board Meeting, the idea of municipalities making use of solar power to reduce expenses over the long term became a topic of discussion and we took the opportunity to invite Davison to speak with us about this green energy source.

According to a 30 year study by the National Renewable Energy Lab, there are nearly 1,530 full sun hours annually in the Northeast. That, along with a number of state-sponsored incentive programs, makes the Northeast a great region for residential and commercial users of solar energy. Furthermore, new legislation in federal, state and local governments makes going solar more affordable than ever before!
