Village to Celebrate Start-up of Biotech Operation in Downtown
SARANAC LAKE, NY—Aug 6— The Village of Saranac Lake will host a reception at Riverside Park Wednesday evening, August 8th, welcoming and saluting the commencement of biotech operations of Myriad-RBM at its new 3 Main Street location which is the former village office building.
Myriad-RBM will bring 24 employees to the downtown facility with plans to add additional jobs over the next 2-3 years.
The Evening’s Theme is “The Good Old Summer Time” and old fashioned ice cream and root beer will be served during the event to the music of a string band. The village will also hand out complimentary “Boater” flat-top straw hats to its guests to add to festive atmosphere. Live music will be provided by the Too Tall String Band.
Tours of the new Myriad RBM facility, which is just finished a major renovation, will be conducted continuously during the reception located on the opposite side of Main Street.
Local political and business leaders will be on hand to address the gathering. To date, Congressman Bill Owens, Assemblywoman Janet Duprey, Assemblywoman Teresa Sayward, the Town of Harrietstown and the Local Chamber of Commerce have confirmed their attendance and intent to speak.
