SARANAC LAKE – The Village of Saranac Lake announced today that contractors will begin rehabilitation of the Woodruff Street
sewer line on Thursday, August 23rd. Work includes installing approximately 1,100 feet of slip line into the existing sewer main that runs adjacent to the Saranac River between Church Street and the Warehouse Coinwash and Carwash property on Woodruff Street. The project also includes installing new laterals to several properties in the area.As a result of the project the Woodruff St.bridge will be closed on Friday, August 24th and Monday, August 27th to through traffic. All businesses onWoodruff St. will be accessible from eitherBloomingdale Ave. orChurch St. The bridge will be reopened for the weekend.
Contractors will mobilize on Thursday and clean the sewer line on Friday. The new lining will be installed on Monday night and laterals will be installed on Tuesday.
