The Adirondack Chill Softball Club is proud to announce they have placed their first player on a college roster. Danielle Balestrini will be playing for the RPI Engineers this spring.
RPI is a division 3 program that plays in the Liberty League. Balestrini is the daughter of Helga and Dave Balestrini. 2013 will be her 5th and final season with the Chill as she ages out. She is a standout catcher/infielder for the Chill. Balestrini is a 2012 graduate of Lake Placid High School where she was also a standout catcher/infielder and was named to the All CVAC Division 2 team and All CVAC League team her senior year. She is known for her intensity and her never quit attitude. Her batting average always hovers around the .500 mark for the Chill and Blue Bombers and her speed and aggressiveness make her dangerous on the base paths.
