Construction Schedule update for Village of Saranac Lake Projects:
Week of October 3rd thru October 5th: Removal of Sidewalk and Curb on Lake Street from Petrova Avenue to Muffler Street. Continued installation of Curb and Sidewalk on Academy Street. Manhole and catch basin adjustment on Canaras Street, Park Avenue, Sheppard Avenue, Helen Street, and Pine Streets. Miscellaneous minor milling operations will also be taking place on Clinton Avenue, Algonquin Avenue and Fairview Avenue. Streets will be closed to all traffic with the exception of bus traffic as all parking will be prohibited on these streets from 6:30 A.M. until 6:00 P.M.
Week of October 9th thru October 12th: Paving operations will begin starting on State Street and progress to Algonquin Avenue and Canaras Street on Tuesday October 9th and potentially into October 10th. Paving will then continue onto Fairview Avenue and Park Avenue from Circle Street to Old Military Road on Wednesday October 10th and possibly into Thursday October 11th. Thursday October 11th will see the paving operation move to Sheppard Avenue. Paving operations will wrap up on October 15th and 16th with Helen Street and Pine Street being resurfaced. Streets will be closed to all traffic with the exception of bus traffic on the days indicated as well as all parking will be prohibited on these streets from 6:30 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. Sidewalk and curb installation will also be done on Lake Street for the duration of the week. All paving operations are weather and asphalt plant dependent and are subject to change the paving schedule.
