Franklin County Public Transportation provides service to Northern and Southern Franklin County and parts of Lake Placid for your shopping, medical, employment, educational, and miscellaneous needs. We are sponsored by the County of Franklin, Division of Public Transportation and New York State Department of Transportation; and operated by the Association of Senior Citizens in Franklin County.
Southern Franklin County
In the Southern part of Franklin County, bus service is provided within Saranac Lake, Tupper Lake and into Lake Placid, located in Essex County, seven days a week. Demand service in Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake is only available Monday through Friday, 5:10 a.m. to 6:10 p.m. All demand service and deviated pick-ups must be coordinated 24 hours in advance. individual schedules in the “Documents” section for exact operational hours.
The Adirondack Route connects Northern and Southern Franklin County and provides valuable transportation into Lake Placid, located in Essex County. This service operates 7 days a weeks and makes 3 round trips per day between the northern and southern portions of the county. or more information or to schedule a ride within Southern Franklin County, please call (518) 891-2423, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. through 3:30 p.m.
