Headmaster Ed Good says “Northwood School defines itself at least in part by its location in the spectacular Adirondack Mountains. We take strength and our school mission from the serenity and the awesome beauty we live around each day.”
The School’s core values of Respect, Responsibility, Courage, Compassion and Integrity are the foundation for all that goes on in their small (180 students), yet diverse (students from 26 states and 12 countries) community. During our interview on the K&J show, we’ll discuss the Campaign for Excellence, class sizes, student life, hockey, the school’s role in a community like Lake Placid and we’ll explore the possibilities for day students at Northwood.
We’ll also talk about Northwood’s recently completed Campus Master Planning Study which is underway and designed to set the course for campus renovation and construction for the next generation. In his welcome greeting online, Good says “This exciting project will serve as a guidepost for the future evolution of our school.”
