Price Chopper andAlbany’s WNYT-TV have teamed up to help victims of Superstorm Sandy. The two saying “Your Help Counts:Sandy’ campaign comes to the aid of those affected.
The two have launched a fundraising pin up campaign for the American Red Cross to help victims of the devastation inNew York and beyond.
Price Chopper will match the first $10,000 raised by its customers who can purchase window signs for a dollar at Price Chopper to show their support for American Red Cross Disaster Relief. The “Red Crosses” are available at Price Chopper checkouts in all 130 stores Including here in Lake Placid,Plattsburghand the surrounding areas.
This fundraising program has been an ongoing partnership between Price Chopper, WNYT and the Red Cross for more than 15 years and is activated in times of local, national and international disasters.
Mona Golub is Price Chopper’s Vice President for Public Relations… She says “They are confident the campaign will quickly raise much needed awareness and money to help those affected by the hurricane,” and she continued by saying “Price Chopper’s customers and teammates have always been there to assist victims of natural disaster, whether internationally, nationally or regionally. This time, the need is close to home.”
Gary Striar is CEO of American Red Cross in the Northeastern New York Region. he says “The money collected will support the Red Cross efforts to provide comfort and aid to victims of Superstorm Sandy.”
