Saranac Lake’s Mayor welcomes Active Motiff, the Village’s newest corporate citizen and biotech company with a special reception and ribbon-cutting ceremony at their new location in Saranac Lake. Employees moved into the new site in the former “water building” in Early November and the building itself has undergone extensive renovations over the last 6 months in preparation of their arrival..
Active Motif follows nearby biotech, Myriad/RBM, which opened last June, into what the Village would like to build into a new “Biotech-Cluster,” anchored by Trudeau Institute, Myriad RBM and now Acitve Motiff in Saranac Lake. The Village was recognized earlier this year by the New York Conference of Mayors for developing its biotech-cluster and garnered the first place Local government Achievement Award for Economic Development.
