No Border Fees Amendment Gets Unanimous Approval in Committee
The House Appropriations Committee today unanimously passed an amendment introduced by Congressman Bill Owens that would halt the proposed study of a “border fee.” Owens introduced the amendment as part of the mark-up for the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Bill.

The Mayor’s Snowball Toss – A Tradition in it’s First Year
On Sunday at 1pm, Saranac Lake’s Winter Carnival Inagurates a new event on Sunday Afternoon… The Mayor’s Snowball Toss… Kayla and her Partner in the Snowball Toss Austin Eckert took the Young Adult Division.. In the Open Division – Lisa Yankitis and Jay Annis came in Second spot and Craig and Kathy Norris win the first place medals.. The final score was 14 to 11 and the Norrisses will head to the overall championship.. In the Government Division.. Dr Steven Tyrell teamed with Dianne Trummer had a partnership that couldn’t be beat.. They took the overall championship in the first annual Mayor’s Snowball Toss.. but one thing is for sure, there are definitely people who know how to get into the spirit..
