Lake Flower Water Level Rises

The Village of Saranac Lake says it anticipates increases in water levels resulting from abnormally high water conditions in Lake Flower and the Saranac River. “These abnormally high water conditions have the potential for localized limited flooding on low lying residences and businesses adjacent to the Saranac River and in some downstream locations” Village Manager John Sweeney said “Crews are closely monitoring water conditions around the Lake Flower Dam and bridges within the Village of Saranac Lake.”

The Village of Saranac Lake will make available its current stockpile of sand bags for residents who currently need them. They may be picked up at the DPW garage located at 95 Van Buren Avenue (Behind Kinney Drugs) in Saranac Lake. Residents will sign for the sand bags and be responsible for them after they take possession.
