An Update on Tupper’s Boil Water Order

The Boil Water Order continues today for residents of Tupper Lake.. But Mayor Paul Maroun says they may have the problem remedied by Saturday.. Tupper Lake, is the beneficiary of an emergency grant to move to groundwater, and the project is now well on its way towards completion of a new system, but the process does take time..   The village is currently drilling about six test wells in two of the three sites they’ve identified and will measure flow and water quality so that they can decide where to ultimately build a new processing facility…  The Boil Water Order has been issued to all users of water from the Tupper Lake Village Water Supply by the Department of Health and will remain in effect until two daily samples show no bacteriological contamination.
