Monitoring Speeds on Route 60

Julie and Peter Woodcock live on a stretch of Road on County Route 60 – about a mile off of Route 3 in the Town of Franklin …They’re concerned as many are when they live on a main road, that the speed limits are a little too fast compared to the number of houses in the area. Similar communities see reductions in speed from 55 mph to 45 mph and others down to 30 mph. If the speed can’t be reduced, the Woodcocks are hoping to keep speeds low in their neck of the woods by adding cautionary signs and by consciously not posting the speed limit.
