Road Closures in Saranac Lake

Roadwork continues this week in Saranac Lake.. DPW Superintendent Jeff Dora says crews will begin milling asphalt on Riverside Drive, Olive Street from Broadway to Williams Street, and Fawn Street Tuesday and the work will continue Wednesday. The work will occur both days from 6:30 AM to about 4:00 PM weather permitting… There will be NO PARKING on these streets during the daytime hours and the streets will be closed to all thru traffic during milling and cleanup operations.. They will reopen once crews have completed their work..

New Biking Event Proposed for Saranac Lake

If all goes well for the planners, in 2015 there may be a new biking event coming to the Adirondacks. Zoe Smith is Director of The Wildlife Conservation Society in the Adirondacks. She is working on developing a bike ride that will be centrally located in Saranac Lake.
