Republican’s Caucus at Harrietstown Town Hall

Two Republican Caucuses last night – In Tupper Lake.. and at the HarrietstownTown Hall.. Which is where we caught up with Harrietstown Supervisor Bob Bevilacqua.. He’s submitted his letter to run again as Harrietstown Supervisor on the Republican Line..

There were no other submissions which means he’ll be running on the Republican line in the general election for Supervisor. There are 3 council seats open in the Town of Harrietstown… The Top Two vote getters in the caucus will be listed on the ballot as running for a four year term and the third vote-getter in the caucus will be on the line for the two year term..  Joe Spadaro is the Chairman of the Saranac Lake Republican Caucus.. He reported the results to the group congregated at the Harrietstown Town Hall..  Ron Keough was the top vote getter from republicans at the Caucus – Pat Meagher received the second highest number of votes from Republicans at the caucus. and Councilman Barry Defuria was chosen to run on the Republican ticket for the one available two year term. Party Member Ray Scollin says the party will begin to focus on local issues and begin to develop their campaign message in the next few weeks.. Meagher was the deputy Town Clerk, Deputy Tax Collector and the Court Clerk for 12 years..  Defuria recently filled in as Supervisor prior to Bevilacqua winning the previous election and Councilman Keough has been in public service in Harrietstown since 1967.
