Cops: Woman Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police are looking for a driver who fatally struck a woman in the Bronx before fleeing Sunday morning.

A 27-year-old woman was struck and killed just after 5 a.m. at the intersection of Evergreen Avenue and Bruckner Boulevard in Soundview, police said.

When officers arrived, they found the woman unconscious and unresponsive lying in the street. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say a black sedan traveling westbound on the service road of Bruckner Boulevard hit the woman.

The victim’s name has not yet been released.
