Felger and Massarotti opened the day with two topics to discuss. Clay Buchholz returned to the mound last night for the Boston Red Sox and pitched five scoreless innings in a 2-0 win over the Tampa Bay Rays. If Buchholz pitches as well as he did last night from now through the playoffs, wasn’t his absence worth it? Also, the New England Patriots welcome the New York Jets to Gillette Stadium for the Pats home opener tomorrow night. The Pats have 13 players on the injury report. Should these injuries cause concern or are these fluke injuries? Finally, the guys discussed the USA Men’s Soccer team 2-0 win over Mexico. The win clinched the U.S. a spot in next Summer’s FIFA World Cup.

In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz continued to talk about the return of Clay Buchholz and the Patriots home opener tomorrow night against the Jets. Mike and Tony welcomed back Office Manager Lee Dickman for the second edition of Educating Dickman. The guys show Lee different photos and Lee has to determine which of the four CBS-Boston radio stations the guest should be sent to. The guys got back to taking calls on the Sox and Patriots.

Paul Perillo of Patriots Football Weekly joined Felger and Massarotti in Hour 3 to preview the Pats home opener tomorrow night against the New York Jets. Should the injuries that the Patriots are dealing with be a concern entering tomorrow night’s game? If Danny Amendola sits tomorrow night, how much will it affect the offense?
