Man Dead, Suspect In Custody Following Stabbing In Elmhurst

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Police have a suspect in custody following a fatal stabbing in Elmhurst, Queens on Monday afternoon.

As WCBS 880′s Alex Silverman reported, a 69-year-old man and a younger man got into some sort of confrontation around 1:30 p.m. under the elevated 7 train tracks at Elmhurst Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue.

It remains unclear what led to the stabbing.

The older man was taken by ambulance to Elmhurst Hospital where he was pronounced dead, Silverman reported.
