BOSTON (AP) — The new leader of the Boston FBI says he’s committed to making sure that anyone associated with the Boston Marathon bombing is caught.
Vincent Lisi began his job as the special agent in charge in Boston in July, more than 3 months after twin explosions near the finish line killed three people and wounded more than 260.
Dzhokhar Tsarnev is charged with using a weapon of mass destruction and faces a possible death penalty. His brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, was killed following a shootout as police closed in on the two suspects.
Authorities have also charged three of Dzhokhar’s friends with lying to authorities or hindering the investigation.
Lisi said Monday the FBI won’t stop until it’s confident that “anybody that had anything to do with that” is brought to justice.
