Police Pursuit Ends With Car Crashing Into Edison Home

EDISON. N.J. (CBSNewYork) – A police chase has ended with a car slamming into a home in Edison, N.J.

The incident started when police tried to pull over the driver of a gold Toyota Camry for a traffic infraction in neighboring Metuchen, CBS 2′s Don Champion reported.

Police chased the vehicle for several miles before the driver lost control and slammed into the front of a home at the corner of Woodbridge Avenue and Laurie Lane in Edison around 10:30 a.m. Friday.

The daughter of the homeowner told Champion that her father was several inches from where the car crashed into the home, but was not injured.

Charges are pending against the driver.

Fire officials and investigators from the Edison and Metuchen Police Departments are on the scene.
