In the North Country, there’s an organization called Life Flight which quite literally bridges the gaps between community and tertiary care by minimizing the time it takes for patients to reach the most appropriate facility based on their profile of injury or illness. Saturday October 4th, 2013, North Country Life Flight, in conjunction with thte Adirondack Regional Airport’s Open House is holding their annual Pumpkin Festival. The event itself runs from 10am until 3pm Saturday. Pumpkinfest is a family friendly event featuring activities for the kids, with aircraft and airport equipment on display, visitors can also enter to win a Cape Air scenic flight that will be offered during the event.
Pumpkin Fest is an opportunity for families to pick out their pumpkins for Haloween and support North Country Life Flight in the process. In the K&J show today, we decided to learn more about this organization and we caught up with Life Flight President and CEO Mary Jane Connors and Chief Flight Nurse Chuck Pandolf at their offices at the Adirondack Regional Airport.
