K&J – The Power and Promise of Non Profits

The Adirondack Non Profit Summit – Thursday November 21st at the WIld Center

A daylong summit will examine the impact of our region’s nonprofit organizations.
This event will also serve as the unveiling of a study that analyzes the regional impact of 36 nonprofits.
All those involved in nonprofit organizations — board members, staff, donors and volunteers — are invited to take part. Local, county, state and federal government employees and other regional decision makers are also invited, in order to develop more strategic partnerships with these organizations.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of a day of collaboration and networking. In addition to interactive presentations and panel discussions, the lunch period will give attendees the chance to sit with a member of the North Country Regional Economic Development Council, to explore how nonprofits can further contribute to regional success.

Adirondack Gives – A New Fundraising Tool Sponsored by The Adirondack Foundation

Adirondack Foundation - Vertical LogoThe Adirondack region’s nonprofit organizations, public charities, and school and civic groups do exciting things every day. They work to help those who can’t help themselves, enhance the education of our youth, and improve the overall quality of life in the Adirondack region. That work comes at a cost, and with dwindling public resources, these groups must increasingly look to their neighbors for support.

Adirondack Gives is an online giving site brought to you by the Adirondack Foundation. This crowdfunding site connects local fundraising campaigns with people who want to help. At Adirondack Gives, you can create a campaign to raise money for your project or cause, or simply donate to something you care about.

The projects on this site are good ideas that just need some capital to get started. In the Adirondacks, you don’t need to give $1,000 to make an impact. Sometimes, all it takes is a gift of $5 or $20 to make a difference. You can track the progress of a campaign in real time, adding a layer of excitement to philanthropy. And don’t forget: your gift is tax-deductible.

For groups and organizations, sometimes you just need a small amount of funding, but don’t know where to turn or who to ask. Adirondack Gives is the place to make your small project needs known.

Adirondacks Gives is strictly for nonprofits organizations, public charities and other not-for-profit causes. Use of this site for personal or business gain is strictly prohibited, and the Adirondack Foundation will not permit any campaigns that attempt to commercially gain from this site.
