On Monday Veterans are honored in many different ways throughout the country and here in our region, with parades and flag raising ceremonies. The Harrietstown Town Hall plays host to the VFW. The ceremony includes the Honor Guard, Boy Scouts, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Navy Seals.. Scouts from Troop 1 in Saranac Lake are given the honor of leading the pledge of allegiance..

Charlie Jessie is a retired Navy Seal… He was the speaker at the event and talked about his experiences as one of the first Navy SEALs We also spoke with him in August during a K&J Show at the Prescott House in Saranac Lake which houses the offices of Homeward Bound…VFW Commander Ray Bolla thanked the Bloomingdale School for their ceremony on Friday and remembered fallen vets and members of the VFW.
