Noisy Vehicles Beware.. Tupper Lake is on the Prowl

The Village of Tupper Lake is throwing their weight behind a new local law that would restrict the use of aftermarket noise-makers installed on vehicles in the community..  The new law would allow Tupper Lake Police Chief Eric Proulx to provide for enforcement  He says right now his department does have options, but the new law would add the one two punch over and above their current remedies.. “Currently we can issue a “Fix-It” ticket but that kind of ticket does provide for a fine. The new law will allow us to issue appearance tickets which will include payment of fines for each infraction”  The law is still under consideration by the Village Board but should be ready for a public hearing in December.
