Relief from Healthcare Cancellations Come to the House Friday

With a bill coming to the floor of the house on Friday, Congressman Bill Owens says he is likely going to vote in favor of allowing people to keep their healthcare if it was cancelled due to ObamaCare. The Congressman spoke with a group participating in a telephone town hall on Tuesday Evening and told them he believes he will vote in favor of allowing individuals who have had their insurance cancelled because of the changes due to the Affordable Care Act to choose to keep their current insurance if they like it better. He also commented that there may be other options people will like if they visit the exchanges. Owens says from his own experience, they have a successful Medical Home program which has reduced the expenditures that Medicare is making, and they’re getting better outcomes which ultimately he says is the goal..
