Tucker 2000 Groomer Comes to Tupper Lake

The Tupper Lake Snowmobile Club will become the recipients of a 2005 Tucker 2000 Snowmobile Trail Groomer..    Pete Edwards attended a special meeting of the Town of Tupper Lake on Monday where the board approved their annual budget, which included the issuance of a bond for the purchase of the groomer..

As for the expense involved in the purchase, Supervisor Elect Patricia Littlefield says they’ve taken out a 5 year statutory installment bond which will cost the town about $20,000 per year plus interest..

The old machine is a 1999 Track Truck.. Edwards told the board it just wasn’t suitable for managing the extended trail system.. The Track Truck is different from the Tucker groomer because it’s more like a utility truck…

He also says the Tupper Lake Snowmobile Club has also completed their license agreements for the Matumbla Trail along with the license agreements for the connection to Easy Street..
