Broadway Project Goes Out For Bids

We’ve been reporting regularly on a major project which is set to take place in April on Broadway from the bridge to just past the post office in Saranac Lake.. and at Their Meeting Monday Evening, the village board took another step in the planning for that work to get under way..  Paul Ellis is the Village’s Treasurer.. He says there are two projects – One they’re calling the Collection System and the second project is the final clarifier.. Ellis says they’ll be using the Engineering Firm AES Northeast to assist in the planning and now to send the projects out for bid..

The Village Board approved the bid for the sewer work on Broadway..  Ellis says they’re in the process of finalizing the details with their funding sources for the water project.. Beginning mid April the road will be closed and most of the work in the downtown area will be done overnight. One lane will be open during the day for one way traffic heading into downtown..  Outbound traffic will be detoured to church street..
