Plattsbrugh City Clerk Retires

Plattsburgh’s City Clerk Keith Herkalo is retiring after 23 years and receives a standing ovation from the audience at Thursday’s Meeting of the City Council… During the meeting, Plattsburgh Mayor Jim Calnon read a citation from the New York State Assembly and Assemblywoman Janet Duprey..

In addition to the City Clerk’s position, Herkalo’s resume includes the Battle of Plattsburgh Association where he is currently President, The Association is currently operating the War of 1812 Museum and they will become the operators of the Plattsburgh Air Force Base Museum once it’s up and running in June of 2014..  Calnon says the City is in the process of interviewing candidates for the position and Keith has indicated his availability to assist the department until the new clerk has been able to settle in..
