In a teleconference Thursday afternoon, State exchange directors from California, Colorado, Connecticut, Kentucky, New York, and Washington spoke about their ongoing efforts to implement health care coverage marketplaces in their respective states by the upcoming deadline of March 31st in accordance with Affordable Care Act. Lisa Sbrana, Counsel of New York State of Health , Says they are seeing high levels of enrollment activity in the last few weeks via their website, customer service center and through their 8500 in person application counselors. Sbrana Says, as the deadline rapidly approaches, New York Sate of Health has increased their call center capacity and their number of in person assistors.
