Lake Placid High School Students Recognized

The Artwork of two Students in Lake Placid is selected as part of the 24th statewide New York State art teachers association legislative art exhibit in Albany.. The exhibit was unveiled in the Legislative office buildings yesterday.. Lake Placid School Superintendent Roger Catania complimented the students and also suggested that he would like to expand the art on display in the Administrative offices behind the Middle High School, and indeed there is now a wall full of the artwork of students in the school showing an array of styles and impressions..

Catania added that the end of the winter season brings success for the athletic programs..  In fact many of the hockey players and coaches have been named into the hockey All stars..  The girls team included Jade Dukette from TupperLake – as part of the merged team.. and Brianna Savage from AuSableValley – also on the Lake Placid Girls Hockey Team..

Superintendent Catania also congratulates the Lake Placid High School Ski teams.. Both the Alpine and the Nordic teams competed in the State Competition at Bristol Mountain outside of Rochester..  State Competitors in the Alpine program included Jack Gallagher..

Boys and girls basketball also wraps up with all star selections for several players
