City of Plattsburgh Approves Outdoor Restaurant Seating

It may be a little to cold today to think about outdoor dining in Downtown Plattsburgh, but the City Council is once again allowing local restaurants to add to their seating by creating what Councilwoman Becky Casper calls “Parklets” outside of their establishments.. “Concrete barriers may not be the best looking way to separate the road from these parklets,” Kasper says, suggesting that in the future, the city should be more inclined to find ways to help beautify downtown with things like concrete planters instead.. Councilman Josh Kretzer says people are seeing the value in the downtown and investing in the infrastructure to make it more user friendly for people who want to enjoy it as pedestrians..
