Mayor Promotes Awareness of Post Traumatic Stress

ANZAC day in Australia and New Zealand is a day of remembrance for soldiers and veterans, especially those who fought in the Australian New Zealand Army Corps during World War One in what is now Turkey… In the Village of Saranac Lake, Mayor Clyde Rabideau is commemorating the event with a resolution promoting the awareness of Post Traumatic Stress, or PTS…Rabideau says PTS is something that the greater community needs to be aware of and because ANZAC day, the equivilant of Veterans Day in the United States is celebrated on the 25th of April in Australia, he says they’ll be joining with Homeward Bound of the Adirondacks to help promote awareness of Post Traumatic Stress.. The Village Board approved a resolution declaring April 25th as ANZAC day for PTS Awareness..
