Mayor’s Office / SUNY Students Focus on Communication

The Mayor’s office in the City of Plattsburgh is getting a little help from Students in Plattsburgh State University… Four students were in attendance on Thursday during the City Council Meeting. The Group, which is part of 23 students studying under Steve Peters is the Civic Engagement Group. Plattsburgh Mayor Jim Calnon has been working with the students to give them information they may be able to use. “These students are upper level students and we’ve spoken a few times about a marketing strategy and discussed the strengths and weaknesses of their proposals.” Calnon said, “It’s marvelous work experience for them and it gives the city some great expertise and at the same time, a ton of enthusiasm to enhance the communication the City Council has with the city of Plattsburgh.”
