The Town of Harrietstown is without a Supervisor following the resignation of Bob Bevilacqua from the chair.. Bevilacqua tells WNBZ he resigned as of last Sunday and we asked him if someone would be taking over but he said that wasn’t going to be his decision.. He did read, he said that Mike Kilroy and Judge Jan Plumadore had offered to take over for the balance of the year.. As for what he’s leaving behind, Bevilacqua says a couple of big projects at the airport are underway.. including the second half of the Apron Project and the terminal building project. “The Harrietstown Town Hall needs a lot of work and it’s been put off too long,” Bevilacqua told WNBZ “and we didn’t want to wait any longer and force the work onto another board, it’s already more expensive today because the work was put off.” Bevilacqua also commented that managing the budget would be difficult this year. and he apologized to the board for leaving on such short notice.”
Harrietstown Town Clerk Patty Gillmet says the board has two options without Bob in the Supervisor’s seat.. but they couldn’t come to an agreement as to which option they wanted to take..
