North Elba Chooses Todd Anthony as Sole Assessor

The Town of North Elba has a new Assessor… Todd Anthony has been appointed by the North Elba Board and will begin on the 1st of July..  North Elba Supervisor Robi Politi says Anthony has the experience to simply step into the job..  Anthony has been involved in the installation, troubleshooting and documentation of all agency created software for the real property system and Politi adds that he is an extremely qualified professional and capable of handling all of the assessment duties for the Town of North Elba and the Village of Lake Placid..  Currently, the Town of North Elba has two other assessors, James Bishop and Art Jubin who will continue on as assessors through the end of the year, at which point, Anthony will become the Sole Assessor.. Politi says there was an additional cost for Mr Anthony to come on board, the current budget is for $48,000 annually, Anthony will be paid $60,000..

In Addition Politi says the fact that Anthony doesn’t necessarily live in North Elba makes it much easier for him to make decisions on assessments without having a bias or a conflict and Politi says it’s important tha everyone is treated in a fair and equitable manner especially when it comes to assessments..
