Taxi Drivers to See Updated Regulations in Lake Placid

The Village of Lake Placid holds a public hearing tonight to hear public comment on changes to regulations affecting taxi drivers in and around the village..   Lake Placid Mayor Craig Randall says the village doesn’t necessarily have to deal with applications if they don’t want to.. “But we want to be sure that people are comfortable taking cabs and it’s just another step to make sure that is the case.” Randall Said. “Being able to provide each operator with visible identification is important and I know the first thing I look for when I get into a cab in New York City is the drivers identification.”
