Today on the K&J Show, we’re talking about Lyme Disease and the impact of tick born diseases on the North Country.. and the nation as a whole.. And we start by looking at a new focus on the issue at Trudeau Institute where Dr Timothy Sellati is creating a research center of excellence for the study of lyme and other tick born diseases.. We spoke with Dr Sellati on Monday afternoon following a luncheon with local legislators in the founder’s library at Trudeau Institute.. Dr Sellati introduced us to a brand new approach to looking (Literally) at how the disease operates.. In Dr Sallati’s Laboratory at Trudeau, we found Amy Giffune, who is one of five interns working at the facility over the summer from Clarkson University.. She’s sitting at a computer monitor and shows us how this new process works..
