On the K&J Show today we’re at the Horse Show Grounds in Lake Placid for a peek at the upcoming Grand Prix weekend… Week number two brings many different levels of competition through the week and one rider whose got her eye on the big prize.. Laura Chapot has been very successful in the I Love New York Horse Show for some perspective we’ll speak with Horse Show Expert Marty Bowman and some of the horse show competitors..
Including Margie Engell who is a top rider in the sport, whether in Europe or in the United States. We spoke with her on the Richard Feldman Grand Prix Ring mid day on Thursday.. We’ll also speak with Tim Hooker who is a regular at the Horse Show and our look at this year’s horse show activity takes us back to the stables where we found one rider and her horse preparing to head over to the ring, Hillary Simpson is on her way from the beautiful temporary stables to her next show event but next door, we found a group of riders, and parents who are sitting in what many of the larger stables create in their corner space right next to their horses..
The Horse Show provides mulch and each stable brings out furniture and many provide food and snacks and essentially a atmosphere not unlike a living room in your house except outdoors under the corner of these very large tents.. All of the ribbons won by the stables are usually on display along with pictures and sponsors and it’s one of these “Living Rooms” as I like to call them, where we found Kay Lawson and others in a group that had just completed their show event for the day.. Today we’re touring the horse tents on the North Elba Horse Show Grounds where we’ve found competitors of all levels.. We’ll also talk about the I Love New York Horse Show as well as the work that went into the new footings for many of the competition rings with Richard M Feldman who is the Chairman of the Lake Placid Horse Show Association..
And we invite you to stay with us for more coverage of the Three weeks of Horse Show Action at the North Elba Show Grounds..
