If Plattsburgh’s Mayor has his way, there WILL be a marina at the City docks come spring 2015.. Until then, there’s still work to be done, however slowly it’s getting out of the starting gate… and so the next step in the process.. getting rid of the mold in the building.. Plattsburgh’s City Engineer is Kevin Farrington, he says mold remediation is really phase one of actual work..
How the building was allowed to get to this point is a whole nother story.. but if you remember earlier this year, the new City Council was concerned with the expense involved in bidding the entire project and is now approving the project piece by piece.. Farrington says the mold assessment came back close to what they expected..
The Final outcome of the project has yet to be seen, but there’s at least one member of the City Council whose not happy with the amount of time it’s taking to make something happen at the waterfront..
The real question is how to go about making something happen there… and then… who should be in charge of the operation…. Again Plattsburgh’s City Engineer, Kevin Farrington..
