Cadyville Park in the Town of Plattsburgh will be getting a new look on Route 3 this fall.. That’s because the Town Board has voted to retain a surveyor to mark off 6 new one acre residential parcels on Route 3.. As you may know, The town has operated a park there for years but it was owned by Clinton Community College.. In 2013, Clinton Community College decided to sell the park and the town decided to buy the park in order to protect 40 years of tradition, not to mention disc golf, at the Cadyville Park..
Councilman Michael Cashman says the true access point to the park is further down on Goddard Road which goes down onto Amell way into the park.. “Which is why these lots will work well on Route 3. They’ll pay for some of the purchase price plus they won’t really interfere with the recreational activities in the park.”
The lots, once they’ve been properly surveyed, will then be put out into some form of public auction or bidding process, and Councilman Mannix tells us they would prefer to get this done sooner, rather than later so it could be as early as fall that the bidding begins for these 6 new parcels on Route 3..
