Local restaurant chefs are getting creative and working with our local farmers to create incredibly delicious tasting menus for this year’s Chefs and Farmers: Taste the Adirondacks. The Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to join us for the 4th Annual Chefs and Farmers: Taste of the Adirondacks, on September 14th , from 4PM-7PM at the Harrietstown Hall Auditorium. Chefs and Farmers is a mouth-watering tasting event showcasing the talents of regional chefs from local restaurants and catering companies. Each chef will partner with local farms to create a dish featuring locally grown ingredients. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample all of the dishes by purchasing $1 tickets. Tastings will range from 1-5 tickets.
Last year twelve local chefs took part and 400 attendees. “This is a wonderful event that showcases our restaurant chefs and highlights local business;” says Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Katy Van Anden, “partnering and encouraging chefs to feature local farm products creates lasting and continued business relationships for long after the actual event.”
