In Tupper Lake,
state police arrested 18-year-old Kevin P. Coval of Tittsford around
midnight Tuesday, August 25 after he was pulled over for speeding. A
subsequent investigation revealed Coval was in possession of beer,
marijuana and a small amount of LSD. He’s been charged with unlawful
possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of alcohol by a person
under 21 years of age, and criminal possession of a controlled
substance. Covel was ticketed and released to appear in Tupper Lake
Town Court at a later date.
Also in Tupper
Lake, troopers arrested 29-year-old Christopher J. Sluyter on
Monday, August 24 following reports that he acted inappropriately
toward a client at Sunmount DDSO. Police charged Sluyter with one
count of third-degree assault, endangering the welfare of a mentally
incompetent person and offering a false statement. He was ticketed
and released to appear in town court at a later date.
Tupper Lake
Village Police arrested 21-year-old Christopher Beaudette of Tupper
Lake on Monday, August 24 at 2:37 p.m. on a warrant issued by
Franklin County Court. Beaudette has been charged with violation of
probation. He was turned over to the Franklin County Sheriff’s
Department and is in county jail pending arraignment in court.
Elsewhere, 20-year-old Kyle Larden of Tupper Lake was arrested by
village police on Monday, August 24 at 10:19 p.m. after an alleged
altercation with another male on Pine Street. Larden has been
charged with one count of second-degree harassment, fourth-degree
criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He
posted $500 cash bail and was released to appear in Tupper Lake
Village Court at a later date.
