A
19-year-old northern New York man who survived a one-car crash that
killed a mother and her two sons has pleaded not guilty to vehicular
homicide and other charges.
Authorities initially believed 38-year-old Veronica LeClair of
Ellenburg Center was driving the car when it crashed on Route 11 in
Clinton County last February. LeClair and her son and stepson, both
15, were killed. Joshua Bombardier of Altona and another teen were
injured.
Prosecutors say they later learned Bombardier, a friend of the
family, was the driver. He turned himself in last week to face
charges that include vehicular manslaughter, manslaughter,
criminally negligent homicide and driving under the influence of
alcohol.
Bombardier pleaded not guilty this week. He’s being held without
bail.
