State Police and local firefighters were called
to a two car accident Thursday afternoon on State Route 86 in front
of Adirondack Correctional Facility in Ray Brook. Troopers say 65
year-old Carolyn D. Saint of Northport, NY was operating a 2006
Hyundai when she was rear-ended by a 2002 Dodge Suburban driven by
52 year-old Joanne T. Farley of South Windsor, Connecticut. Saint
complained of pain and was taken to Adirondack Medical Center in
Saranac Lake. Police say Farley was ticketed for following too
closely. Lake Placid firefighters responded to the scene at 2:40
p.m. with two trucks and 20 members. The Saranac Lake Fire
Department also responded with five members and two trucks,
providing traffic control.
