Plattsburgh Home Destroyed by Fire

 

A home on Daytona Boulevard in Plattsburgh was destroyed by fire Monday afternoon.

Firefighters from District 3 were called to the residence in the Wallace Hill area around 3:45 p.m.  They called in mutual aid from Morrisonville, Beekmantown and South Plattsburgh fire departments.

The fire started in the back of the home, owned by Clarence Jeffries Sr., and spread to its roof and the garage.  The structure is considered a total loss.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.  No one was home at the time and no injuries were reported.
